postDear pastors, ministers of various churches in Donetsk, Donetsk region, Ukraine, dear brothers and sisters!

Due to the tense situation in Ukraine and the tragic consequences which took lives of many people, I consider the most important thing today to put aside all disagreements and unite our hearts in common prayer and fasting for our country. With many of you we have been serving God together for years, getting through different times. And today more than ever,  unanimity in prayer is very important.

I am sure that the unity in Ukraine is largely dependent on the unity in the Church and in the hearts of Christians. The Bible says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16). Our effectual, fervent united prayer can do the impossible things in our country, can stop the bloodshed and bring peace! God said that Ukraine will be grain and spiritual granary for all nations. Let us believe together in fulfillment of this word!

I invite all pastors, ministers, parishioners to join the open Fasting and prayer for Ukraine which are to be held on 26, 27 and 28 February in Donetsk, in the church building in Tkachenko st., 100.

May God bless you!
You are welcome!

Your brother in Christ,
Leonid Padun

It has become a good tradition of recent years, I celebrate my birthday in the church, so that every member of the church and every parishioner could attend this celebration.

Yesterday was one of those days , but for me it was special! A lot of people came up to me with congratulations and thanked for my ministry, expressed their love and support, wished a lot of kind and good things. I am so grateful to all of you!

Also, I am sincerely grateful to the home groups for a wonderful homemade sweet table that you helped me to set for the whole church, for your beautiful and delicious cakes and pastries, which you had baked and brought to entertain everyone. It was so nice to have tea with the people, to communicate and to share this celebration with the church!

Everything that God created on this earth is supernatural, including the Church. Jesus Christ once said: “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

The church is organized not on consent among people, not on relations between one another, but on revelation from God – ” rock” about which Jesus told Peter: ” and upon this rock I will build my church”.

All gifts and ministries, given by God to the Church, are also supernatural. Gifts are not a  “banner”, that you can raise and praise yourself, these are God’s means given for the only purpose – to create and build the Body of Christ.

One of the most important ministries in the Church is a pastoral ministry. There are no places in the Bible where Jesus called himself apostle, or profit,or evangelist, but he called himself “the good shepherd”. (more…)
